Emily Giddings, RN, opened Giddie Skin Medspa to help those in the Mankato area refresh, restore and feel “giddie” about their skin. She specializes in non-surgical facial aesthetic injections and laser treatments, helping restore youth and health into aging and damaged complexions.
Emily’s story may be similar to yours: something was bothering her and draining her confidence. For Emily, that “something” was unwanted hair and problematic skin. She was introduced to laser treatments, and it changed her life.
Michelle Emich
Registered Nurse, Aesthetic Injector
Michelle came onto the Giddie team ready to take on a new challenge! She brings 12 years of nursing experience to our team, including 9 years in preoperative care and 3 years in varying clinical settings.
Her passion for aesthetics stems from the unique blend of creativity and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s confidence and well-being. This drive led her to begin training in aesthetics in 2022, since then, she has honed her skills to deliver personalized and artistic results.
Dayna Comnick
Advanced Practice Esthetician
From a young age, Dayna always had a passion for skincare and makeup, which led her to attend cosmetology and aesthetics school in 2017.
With almost 7 years of experience in the industry, Dayna specializes in results-driven facials for specific skin concerns and is passionate about providing a relaxing spa-like experience for her clients. Her favorite part about the aesthetics industry is building relationships with clients, as well as helping them feel confident in their own skin.

Erica brings a fresh perspective to Giddie Skin. With over 10 years of experience as a children’s ministry director at New Creation and time spent as a stay-at-home mom, she decided to explore a new path in aesthetics! Her background in leadership and her dedication to helping others make her a valuable addition to our team, ensuring you feel supported on your skincare journey.
Lauren Borchardt
Social Media and Marketing Coordinator
At the beginning of 2024, Lauren became a part of the Giddie team, injecting it with her vibrant and engaging marketing style. She's dedicated to keeping us informed about the latest trends while pursuing her Marketing degree at MSU, set to graduate in 2025. With previous experience gained from a semester-long internship and a strong desire for continuous learning, Lauren seamlessly integrated into our team. Despite her focus on marketing, she prioritizes customer service and values building relationships with clients.
Together, Emily, Dayna, and Michelle are determined to help others regain their confidence. With artistic eyes and skillful hands, they’re dedicated to providing the highest level of care and unsurpassed aesthetic outcomes. They pride themselves on building trust with their clients and are equipped with the technology to take results to the next level.
As registered nurses and certified specialists, under the medical directorship of Jinette Lais, APRN, DNP, Emily , and Michelle provide aesthetic consultations and medical injections for wrinkles; dermal fillers for volume replacement and enhancement; Kybella for submental fat reduction; Platelet Rich Plasma for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration; . Along with Dayna, they provide permanent laser hair reduction, dermaplaning, chemical peels, micro-needling, and laser treatments for skin rejuvenation and tightening to improve overall skin quality, clarity, and texture.

Jinette Lais
APRN, DNP, Medical Director
Jinette has worked in the medical field for over 20 years! She discovered her passion of helping others as a teenager in her role as a Certified Nursing Assistant. This led her down the path of nursing school. In 2009, she graduated from the College of Saint Benedict and subsequently gained most of her experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit. In 2017, Jinette graduated from Viterbo University with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She has been working as a Nurse Practitioner locally in Mankato since that time. Her favorite thing about being a Nurse Practitioner is finding a point of connection with patients and making them feel better, whether that’s physically, mentally, or emotionally. When she’s not at work, Jinette loves spending time outdoors with her husband and their four kids.
