platelet rich plasma (prp) HAIR rejuvenation
PRP for hair loss is a non-surgical procedure that utilizes the stem cells and growth factors from the patient's own blood to trigger the growth of hair.

COULD I BENEFIT FROM PLATELET RICH PLASMA HAIR REJUVENATION?
Anyone experiencing hair loss or thinning hair is essentially a good candidate for PRP treatments. This non-invasive procedure can dramatically increase hair growth by stimulating the production of new hair cells. PRP treatment utilizes your body’s own cells to increase hair growth. Thus, it can dramatically improve your appearance and self-confidence with virtually no risks. PRP hair loss treatments can have drastic effects, depending on the patient’s unique biology. Most patients see results after just a few months, when the hair follicles have had the opportunity to experience boosted growth due to the PRP.

HOW DOES PLATELET RICH PLASMA SKIN REJUVENATION WORK?
When you inject platelet-rich plasma into the scalp, the stem cells in your hair root are awoken. PRP therapy results in hair restoration by stimulating the growth of new hair from previously dormant follicles, and also maintain it by increasing the blood supply to the hair follicle thus strengthening and thickening your existing hairs.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT SERIES?
Your blood contains plasma, which contains proteins called platelets. These growth factors stimulate the production of new cells. A higher concentration of plasma can encourage increased tissue growth. To raise the level of plasma in your blood, a sample of your own blood will be taken and will be placed in a centrifuge, which will separate the platelets from the surrounding blood cells.
Next, your scalp will be injected with the platelet-rich plasma. Your skin will be numb during this treatment, so it should involve minimal discomfort. The platelets will rouse inactive hair follicles and stimulate newly implanted follicles. Most patients will need about 3 sessions initially (one per month) to see optimal results, followed by a booster treatment 3 months after the last treatment in the initial series has been completed.
