COULD I BENEFIT FROM PLATELET RICH PLASMA SKIN REJUVENATION?

This treatment is an excellent option for those wishing to reduce wrinkles or scars and improve skin tone and appearance. This treatment can be used across the entire face (including around the eyes to target crow’s feet or under-eye fine wrinkles) and along the neck (especially for horizontal neck lines).

HOW DOES PLATELET RICH PLASMA SKIN REJUVENATION WORK?

During our PRP Skin Rejuvenation treatment, we draw a small amount of blood from your arm (less than what is taken for routine blood tests) and place it in a sterile tube. This is spun in a centrifuge to separate the red and white blood cells from the platelets and the plasma. The process concentrates the platelet count to about four times normal. (Platelets are the cells in your blood that help tissue to heal and grow new cells.) This platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the skin or applied topically to promote your own body to grow collagen, fat pads, regenerate tissue and naturally smooth and tighten your skin. In this way, PRP Skin Rejuvenation softens wrinkles and creates smoother skin texture and tone.

PRP has a long history of being used in orthopedic medicine, dentistry and reconstructive surgery, but now its benefits are being applied to other fields of medicine such as dermatology, skin wound healing and cosmetic facial rejuvenation.

treatment

PRP Skin Rejuvenation can be used in combination with other treatments to improve your skin’s health and appearance.

Laser Skin Resurfacing Boost

Laser Skin Resurfacing treatments are known for their ability to re-texture skin. Adding PRP takes laser resurfacing to a new level by accelerating healing and increasing desired new collagen formation. Following your Sublative treatment, activated PRP serum is applied to skin that is ideally suited to accept the wound-healing platelet serum.

PRP Facial

The PRP Facial (also known as a “vampire facial”) consists of PRP applied to skin that has been prepared by a microneedling treatment. The microneedling makes tiny “wounds” in the skin which accept the PRP serum and begins the process of collagen creation along with the tissue enhancement from growth factors found in the plasma serum. You will love the results!
